Love

Dear fellow brothers and sisters in Christ,

Chicken, it’s something that everyone loves. Everybody loves chicken. Be it warm and toasty chicken legs or hot and crunchy chicken wings, everyone loves some part of a chicken. It’s because chicken makes them happy, right? Well, maybe not everyone. It may be something else for some people (beef, lamb, oyster…. But the general idea is the same.) Actually, it is not real “Love”, it is “Like”.

Everyone thinks that there are many forms of love: love for food, love for shopping, sibling love, mother-daughter love, etc. the list goes on and on and on. It would. That’s because we all love different things in different ways. We’re different. We’re unique. But is there really so many ways to love? Perhaps, who knows? No one knows everything, no one except for God.

I think that there is only one real way to love: to love as God would love, meaning to give an endless supply of love to everyone, everything, even our enemies.

God loves everything and everyone, and He wants us to do the same to others.
If we love each other the way God loves us, I think that we could find true happiness. Yes, we can also follow the beatitudes and the 10 commandments, but the basic rule is still the same: love everyone. If we really think about it, in the end, everything goes back to love. Why shouldn’t we kill? Because we must love. Why must we have pure hearts? To love and be loved. Why shouldn’t we covet the possessions of our neighbors? Because we must love them. Hate springs from jealousy in times like these.

Love is the base and foundation of everything. If we don’t have love, then we can’t have happiness. You see, love and happiness go hand in hand.

And where does love come from? Rightfully, it comes from God.
Science may be able to prove that miracles don’t exist. Science may be able to prove that the last plague in Egypt only happened because of some weird chemical that was released sometime when there was movement in the tectonic plates. For all that we know, science may be able to prove that the burning bush had something to do with friction.

But there is one thing that science will never be able to make us doubt: that God exists.
That God is the one that gave us life, and gave us love.
That loves us enough that He would give us His son to let us have happiness.
I think that no matter what happens, we’ll always believe in God.
